Originally I started this project to be in a shadow box, but when I completed the little bear I decided that she should be out in the open in all her precious little glory...that was it and the Friendship Bear was created.

She is petite at 5-inches tall and jointed. She can sit in the box or on it!...Her box is specially hand-made for her- with words of Friendship enveloping the box of distressed paper...and of course a heart...Friend.

I thought she would be a wonderful present to make and give to a special friend, you can make her a place her in her little box with a friendship story, a poem, a wee little hand-made card and tie it with a fabulous bow!

NEW Little Blue Bird Pincushion

Sweet little pink cheeks and a round head... perky stance and sparkling eyes...little beak peeping out "Hello"!

I wanted all these features and also wanted to incorporate a nest into this pincushion. I used a coil machine sewn basket technique with a fluffy pin-cushion that is inset inside the nest-basket! The little bird I made from fleece for that soft downy feel and look...I love things Japanese so gave the eyes a bit more of a wider expression and of course those pink cheeks.

Meow Meow was created for my love of cats and of things Japanese! She is made from any stretch velvet, velour, or panne for a soft delicate look. Her kimono-type dress is in the style of kimono hime which translates to kimono princess! I used Japanese cotton chirimen fabric for the kimono and pretty edge eyelet for her underskirt. In this pattern you will learn to make your own sparkling eyes and needlesculpt her exquisite face. Unique and easy arms attachment is also covered.
Meow-Meow is 25 inches tall all cloth.


Nesting Bird Woman
